Cuban Stories
These black and white portraits were made in Cuba close to the turn of the millennium, shot over the course of three visits to the island between 1998 and 2000. Now, from a remove of two decades, I’ve more deeply explored the photographic moments the images represent by first digitally painting them and then printing them at (or near) life-size.
